Behavioral Management Intervention - CPI
This service provides Erie 1 BOCES component districts additional consultant and behavioral management days for strategies for staff of at-risk students. It includes the development of plans for teachers of at-risk students with difficult behavior who need additional staff support and accommodations for those considered for a more restrictive placement.
Included in consultant service are programs related to: 1) Proactive strategies for preventing the occurrence of problem behavior; 2) A customized service that provides both training and follow-up collaboration; 3) Confidential classroom observations; 4) Development of comprehensive management plans; 5) Collaboration and team-building strategies; 6) Working with appropriate staf in solution-focused therapy.
Included in the behavioral management services professional development training are: 1) Coaching and modeling effective practices for teachers, 2) Consultation with the Child Study teams 3) Consultation on individual students with disabilities and Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) 4) Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP)
