Extended School Year Program (Summer) - Full Day
This full-day six-week program is designed to prevent substantial regression over the months of July and August.
Students receive daily instruction and related services in accordance with their IEP along with supplemental physical education and enrichment activities. This program is for students who qualify according to standards established by local districts in accordance with the guidelines set by the State Education Department.
Note: The cost of two sessions weekly (individual or group) for one related service (OT, PT, SP, VI or TOD) is included in the tuition. Additional weekly sessions or related services are a separate charge. Social Work/ Counseling is included in the program tuition cost also.
Students must meet Extended School Year eligibility requirements as set forth in regulation and guidelines and as determined by the local Committee on Special Education.
District Resonsibilities:
- Complete summer program on-line registration

BOCES Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision
- Implementation of student's IEP
- Provide formal evaluation of BOCES staff
- Provide supplies and material
- Provide student progress at end of program
- Field trips and school-wide events
