Safety Risk - Level 1
This service provides component school districts with the necessary information to develop an understanding of various local, state and federal rules, regulations and laws outlined in the modules contained in the Erie 1 BOCES Health, Safety and Risk Management Service Planning Guide. This is accomplished through newsletters, workshops, and seminars, as well as a maximum of 15 hours of technical assistance in these modules. Technical assistance can be defined as written plan formats, required staff training (maximum 2 sessions, ex. RTK & BBP, Asbestos Awareness) and various consultations pertaining to the above-mentioned rules, regulations and laws.Level 1 base service is a prerequisite for Level 2 and other health and safety services.
As a member of the Level 1 service, component districts also receive a maximum of three recertification slots in any asbestos or pesticide certification area. Additional services can be purchased at a cost of $50/hour. Additional costs for certification/recertification courses will be priced at the time of offering.
