MS Exchange Online - Migration Support
This service provides assistance to a district moving from certain email systems to MS Exchange Online. Administrative and technical assistance will be provided to help the district in migrating their existing email data. Migration software will be purchased at cost to the district. End user documentation will be made available referencing the switch to Exchange Online.

- Email archive software may also need to be modified with an email migration. Any changes to email archive software is not included in this service.
- Migration software will be purchased at cost to the district
- Must either be joining the MS Exchange Online support service or currently participating in a WNYRIC email support service
- Attend all meetings
- Respond to all requests in a timely fashion
- Perform user mapping
- Provide access to current email system
- Notify email users of changes and provide documentation
- Notify external contacts of email address changes
- Acknowledge and accept that down time is required to perform any migration or cut-over of email systems
- Perform any client updates or installs required
- Modify any applications or devices that use email or email relay
- If not participating in another WNYRIC email service:
- Perform required server tasks on existing system
- Deactivate and remove previous email system
- Provide information on what to expect in an email migration
- Conduct planning and status meetings
- Determine migration tasks and schedule
- Identify required district tasks
- Act as project manager
- Identify migration software
- Perform test runs of migration
- Perform mail, calendar, contact migration
- Verify migration run
- Identify accounts that did not migrate and provide to district for resolution
- Provide new system documentation as requested
